Saturday's Critters #174

Saturday's Critters #174

Wishing all a Happy Easter and weekend!

Happy Saturday, it's time to share your critters and post. Any kind of critter will do, even a new or old post.. I appreciate everyone who is linking in with this week's critter party.

More from the Circle B Reserve.  The Barred Owls were seen during most visits, right near the parking lot. Some visits we saw one owl, maybe two Barred Owls together and even three owls seen close together on one day. Can you find both Barred Owls in the photo below?

The Black-bellied Whistling Ducks always a favorite sighting.

A Snail Kite

The American Bittern was usually easy to find.

The turtles come out in the sunshine.

Green Heron

The Black Crowned Night Heron.

I always enjoy seeing the Cattle Egrets.

A pretty Great Blue heron pose.

As always thanks for the visits and the nice comments. I also thank everyone who is linking up and sharing their critters.. Happy Saturday, have a great weekend!

  1. I think the black-crowned night heron is MY favorite. They are a little tricky to find in Orlando/Daytona where we used to hike.

Happy Easter to you and your family.

  33. Good morning Eileen, a most happy Saturday to you and may your Easter be filled with love and happiness. You sure brightened my (rainy, bit gloomy outside) morning which promises to be gone by tomorrow, yeah for that. I changed my usual critter post in honor of Easter, and eggs and the bunny such, and mention to Sepia Saturday that I used to post each Saturday. Enjoy your weekend and your lovely critters, especially the owl (great captures, you have a talent for that) Enjoy!

  36. Hi Eileen. Those Barred Owls reeally do merge into their background don't they? Your comment about the bittern being usyally easy to find made me smile. Our own European Bittern is just the opposite - very, very hard to find. Loved that picture of the turtles covered in algae. Loved all your pictures today. Have a great day and may all of your eggs be large ones.

    1. Hello Phil, I am not sure if the Bitterns at this place were creatures of habit or what. There were several seen in the same spots every time we visited. Same with the owls, they had there favorite perches. Thank you for the comment and visit. Happy Easter to you and your family! Enjoy your Sunday and new week ahead!
